The City of Pewaukee Police Department was recently able to purchase five Taser X26 units, as well as training instructors and the entire patrol staff.  These Tasers are "non lethal" weapons that are designed as an alternative to actual physical confrontation.  The Tasers offer no harmful physical effects however, they assist officers in obtaining compliance from resistive or combative individuals.  Each officer has recently been trained which includes receiving a five second application of the unit by the instructor.  (Click here to see video of a Pewaukee Police Officer experiencing the effects of the Taser X26)
