Officer Information

Detective Jim Komar was raised in Pewaukee and started in 1992 as a cadet while attending Waukesha County Technical College's police science program.

In 2002 Detective Komar was promoted to his current rank. In addition to general criminal investigations, he has had extensive training in death investigations, digital evidence & photography.

Detective Komar is the lead Firearms Instructor and holds numerous instructor certifications including firearms, tactical response, chemical munitions, less-lethal options, distraction devices and areosol spray. He is also an active shooter response instructor and scenario based training supervisor

Detective Komar is a former tactical operator and sniper. He also serves on the Performance Recognition Committee.

In his free time Detective Komar is an avid muskie fisherman and professional tournament angler. He also enjoys hunting and golf.

Detective Komar works the day watch Monday -Friday 7am-3pm
