Chief's Information
2005
marks Chief Gary Bach’s 25th year of service for
the Pewaukee Police Department. Chief Bach started his
career with the Pewaukee Police Department as a patrol
officer in 1980. In 1991, he was promoted to the rank of
Sergeant and in 1999, he was promoted to the rank of
Lieutenant.
For
twelve (12) years, as Sergeant and then as Lieutenant, Bach
served as 2nd in Command of the police department
supervising all of the patrol and investigative operations.
In
2002, Chief Bach was formally appointed by the Pewaukee
Police Commission and the Common Council to the rank of
Chief of Police.
Chief
Bach has received specialized training in all aspects of law
enforcement including: Evidence, Firearms, Critical incident
management, Accident Investigations, OWI Enforcement, Street
Supervision, and Personnel Management.
Since
taking over the leadership of the Pewaukee Police
Department, Chief Bach has made tremendous strides in
improving the day-to-day work environment of the police
department and he is quite proud of the people who work with
him. Chief Bach is noted for his intense pride and passion
for the police department and especially for the City of
Pewaukee as a community.
Chief
Bach is married, has two daughters, and three grandsons. In
his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family.
Chief Bach is also a devoted Packer Fan and is an avid
NASCAR fan with Tony Stewart being his favorite driver.
