Where can motorized scooters be operated?

These popular new scooters can only be operated on private property.  Wisconsin law {Statute 340.01(22)} considers these scooters "motor vehicles".  Any accident on a scooter which results in injury, death, property damage greater than $1,000 or $200 to government property requires a police investigation and motor vehicle accident report.

Motorized scooters cannot be registered and so cannot legally be ridden

on public roads.  Motorized scooter riders can be ticketed for any traffic violation if operated on public roadways!

Planning a big event?

Call the police department for large event parking permission.  You may

also need a permit from the city for your event, depending on how large

it is.  Please call for more information.
